The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project includes a major bullet train station in Virar, making it a key hub in India’s first bullet train corridor. This station will enhance long-distance travel convenience for residents of Vasai–Virar and nearby regions.

Land acquisition for the Virar station is completed, and civil construction is already underway. The station will feature modern design, multi-modal integration, and seamless connectivity to other local transport systems.
